LASODA Empowers Civil Servants with Disabilities with Work Tools

The Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA) has organized a work-tool empowerment programme for civil servants with disabilities, themed “Enhancing Productivity: Supporting Civil Servants with Disabilities.” The event was held on March 16, 2026, as part of LASODA’s efforts to improve workplace efficiency.

Addressing the beneficiaries, the General Manager of LASODA, Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal, stated that the initiative is designed to strengthen the productivity and professional effectiveness of civil servants with disabilities by providing them with essential assistive and technological tools needed to perform their duties efficiently.

Mrs. Oyetunde-Lawal encouraged the beneficiaries to make the most of the opportunity by demonstrating excellence in their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). She urged them to give their very best in their roles, noting that outstanding performance could earn them recognition, including nominations for Best Staff Awards within their MDAs.

The General Manager further disclosed that the agency would seek feedback from the beneficiaries’ respective MDAs to assess how effectively the tools are being utilized in enhancing productivity.

She also commended the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for approving an increased budgetary allocation for work-tool support for persons with disabilities in the state civil service.
